I went to school in Green Ridge, moved to Nixa my junior year and graduated from there in 1983. I love hunting and fishing, and I fished professionally for bass and crappie for eight years. I started shooting archery for Bowhunters Pro Shop in the 80s and 90s, and moved back to Sedalia in 1993. I started MoKids Outdoors in 2004 to get kids more involved with outdoor activities. I've been hosting the Huntin' and Fishin' with Harry show for six years, and I love being back in central Missouri. I have three sons, a wife and a grandson. Thanks for checkin' me out!

Get Out and Enjoy the Summer Weather
Wow, nothing like jumping from the frying pan into the fire! It's been hot, but hey, it's summertime baby. So get out those shorts and flip flops and get outside!
We’ll See You at the Great Outdoors Family Fun Day This Saturday
What did I tell you? We're out of the cooler and into the fire with mid-90s this week. What the heck happened to the mid-80s? Oh well, I guess it couldn't last, but it's summertime and that means getting outside, hitting the great outdoors and having a redneck good time (no pun intended, you'll be getting a red neck from the sunburn).
Great Outdoors Family Fun Day Coming to Sedalia Rod & Gun Club This Weekend
Okay, cool temps and moisture are better than last year at this time and the food plots are looking good. We're getting ready to put out cameras and try some Bigtine. They've got it at Rusty Toad Archery in 40 lb. bags for less than $20. I can't wait!
Blues, Football and 3D Shoots: Get Ready for A Busy Weekend in Sedalia
Here we go again, another busy weekend with something for everybody in Sedalia. It all starts on Saturday with the Blues Cruise and BBQ and tailgate competition. Come set up your tailgate just like you do when you attend an event and you could win. It'll g...
Join Us at Fishing for a Cure and Send Us Your Fishing Stories
Okay, the snow in May was enough. I've never hunted turkeys in snow like that. What fun it was, 33 degree cold, wet, windy and on the last week of turkey season. One good thing about the weather is that it seems to be getting better and starting to get back to normal. Of course, this is Missouri, so you will have to "Show-Me."
MoKids Outdoors Hosting “Fishin’ For a Cure” at Liberty Park Next Weekend
Okay, I'm not going to give the weather any more chances. It was 80. Then it was in the 30s. I'm going to boycott the weather, because when the shorts come out, they stay out.
The last week of turkey season was a little tough, for me anyway. Crappie are being caught and people are finding mushrooms. The time is upon us and that makes me happy happy happy.
Youth Turkey Huntin’, Crappie Fishin’ and Wounded Warriors Hunt
I've started my blog posts with the weather every day for the last two months. I thought the crazy weather changes were over and done with. I can deal with a 15-20 degree temperature change, this IS Missouri. But come on, from the 70s to the 30s? This is just ridiculous.
Fishin’ Reports and Turkey Season for Youth
The weather is looking up and it seems like the weather roller coaster is over. I hope they shut it down. Well, let's start with some fishin'. Where are they catching them? In the water. No really, they are.
Easter Outdoor Activities
Well, the Easter Bunny is on his way, the snow is gone for now. I heard we could have two more snow storms, and one of them could be a whopper. I hope not, because if it snows next week, we'll have to hunt turkeys in snow camo and snow shoes. That won't be fun, so let's pray for no snow.
Stay Tuned for Fishing and Lake Level Reports
The weather roller coaster is on another wild ride, and this time I have to say that mother nature is a motha and groundhogs are on my most wanted list. The only way for me to feel better is to get out my AR and run a couple hundred rounds through it, then shoot my pistol, a few shotguns, more rifles, and then start all over with my other AR. Then I'll clean them, because the smell of gunpowder
