Kids, tonight's Pet Sounds Poll Winner was none other than the 1997 modern classic, Radiohead's 'OK Computer.'

I was a senior in high school when this came out (dating myself) and I remember not only me, but several of my friends would pour over every little detail with that album, wondering what this line meant or where that sound came from.  This is a very dense and full sounding album, and every time you listen to it you're bound to find something else you hadn't heard before.  The first single was incredibly ambitious in that it was not only almost seven minutes long, but it had a video that didn't feature the band in any way.

Another thing that surprised us all was how successful it was.  Radiohead weren't a big name over here - they were initially dismissed as a one hit wonder for the song "Creep."  My favorites on this album are "Paranoid Android," "No Surprises,"  "Let Down" and "Fitter Happier."

What are yours?  Do you like a different Radiohead era?  Do you just not get Radiohead?  What's your take?

Never washing spiders down the plughole,

Behka
