In the world of Junior College Basketball, there are three seasons: the regular season is November through December.  Then comes region basketball, followed by the post-season.  Both State Fair teams had great regular seasons, with the girls going 12-3 and undefeated at home, and the guys going 11-5.  Region 16 is one of the toughest in the country this season for both men's and women's basketball, and it gets started tonight at home for the Lady Roadrunners.

The ladies will take on Three Rivers this evening. The Raiders are probably favored to win the championship if for no other reason than the region tournament is in Popular Bluff this year. Unfortunately, the Raiders will not be traveling with the men's team so the men's game will be on Friday. There is nothing more intense than a Region 16 basketball game, and if you have any shot at getting a good seed in the tournament you must win at home. SO let's get a huge crowd out there tonight.

The State Fair men are in St. Louis in a non-region game tonight, but a newly formed conference game.  The march to the national tournament begins this week for both teams, so good luck to both of them!
