In just over a decade, Boom Studios has established itself as one of the most important publishers in comics, and key to its success is the all-ages Kaboom imprint, headed up by editor Shannon Watters. A former Tokyopop copy editor and assistant editor on titles like Irredeemable and Elric, Watters has been a part of Boom from the ground up, and even with licenses for some of the biggest properties on the planet, Watters and the creators under her have consistently traced their own path, to the delight and benefit of critics and readers.

The Castlevania video game series has long been rumored for one adaptation of another, so might an animated series finally be getting off the ground? That’s the rumor du jour, as reports suggest Adventure Time executive producer Fred Seibert is gearing up to announce a new take on the vampire property.

“Our mission is to make everyone on the face of the planet a comic fan,” says Comixology CEO David Steinberger. Today, Comixology has revealed a new step in that plan with Comixology Originals, a line of digital comics in partnership with print publishers, available exclusively on Comixology and Kindle.

Today, GameMill Entertainment announced that this November will see the release of Cartoon Network Battle Crashers, a side-scrolling multiplayer action game featuring the stars of Adventure Time, Regular Show, Steven Universe and more, which will finally allow Steven to realize his potential as the Mike Haggar of the 21st Century.
