Legendary guitarist Steve Howe has quit the classic rock supergroup Asia, the band have confirmed.

British session guitarist Jim Sullivan has passed away after a long period of poor health. He was 71 years old. He played on over 1,000 chart hits -- including 55 No. 1 singles -- during his vibrant career, in addition to working with a who's who of classic rock royalty.

Starship guitarist Mark Abrahamian died last night (Sunday, Sept. 2) of a heart attack following the group’s concert in Norfolk, Neb. He was 46 and had been with the Mickey Thomas-fronted group since 2000.

Current Guns N’ Roses lead guitarist Dj Ashba is no stranger to the perils of bullying and has recently become a spokesman foe the website BullyVille.com, who’s motto is ‘Take the bull by the horns’. Ashba says he lived through and abusive childhood himself, and wants to help those going through the same things he dealt with.

Stuart Swanlund, longtime member of the Marshall Tucker Band, died Saturday (Aug. 4) of natural causes. The slide guitar specialist joined the band in 1985, touring and recording with the group until unspecified health problems forced him off the road recently.
