Missouri Highway Patrol

One of the most important milestones in a young person's life is learning how to drive.  It can be daunting for them to get behind the wheel, and scary for the adults too, with all their safety fears. That's why the Smith-Cotton High School is offering their safe driver's ed course.

It can be easy to get overwhelmed at the State Fair.  There's so much to see and do you can feel like you'll never get to experience it all.   And with the hot weather we've been having, that can zap your energy quick. Luckily there's a wonderful place to stop, recharge, and enjoy nature right on the Fairgrounds.

So you've been to the Missouri State Fair. You've seen the concerts. You've had about 70 corn dogs. You've seen the livestock, the racing, the technology... you've ridden the rides and played the games. Now what? There has to be something you can do to relax, right? Well, there is. And yes, it's something at the Missouri State Fair.

I grew up here in Sedalia. When we were kids, every year we looked forward to the Missouri State Fair. Part of what we looked forward to were the Firetrucks and, well, of course, Otto. If you don't know who Otto is, or if you haven't met Otto at least once in your childhood, then I apologize to you for the sad and horribly deprived life you led.
