Online Dating

Now that I'm officially a married old bitty, I can't explain how great it is to never have to date anybody again.  According to a new survey, 50% of people on dating sites say they're embarrassed or ashamed to be there.  Only 18% of people have no problem telling everyone they're doing online dating.  32% only tell close friends and relatives.

Ask anyone who dated before the internet existed and, odds are, they'll tell you that online dating is peculiar to them. Of course, there are the select few who have utilized online dating sites, but they are fewer and farther between than the younger generations. What's your take on online dating? Is it safe? Is it worth the cost, the time, and the effort?
