The Missouri State Fair has announced its first concert of the 2025 fair, and if you're a 90s music lover, this show is right up your alley!

Blues Traveler and Gin Blossoms with Spin Doctors will hit the Missouri State Fair Grandstand on Friday night, August 8, 2025.

Co-headling the show are Blues Traveler and Gin Blossoms. The Gin Blossoms formed in 1987 and was one of the alternative bands that helped shape alternative pop in the early 90s. The band's first record, "New Miserable Experience," and their first single, "Hey Jealousy," became a Top 25 hit for the band and put them on the map. Other Gin Blossoms hits include "Till I Hear It From You," "Allison Road," "Found Out About You," and "Until I Fall Away."

Blues Traveler, fronted by John Popper, introduced themselves to the world with the longest-charting radio single in Billboard history: the Grammy-winning "Run-Around." They've released 14 studio albums and sold over 10 million combined units worldwide. In 2021, Blues Traveler was Grammy-nominated for their album "Traveler's Blues," a collection of reimagined and recharged classics from the American blues songbook and the group's first official blues album. Their follow-up album in 2023 took a similar approach, this time covering classic R&B and Soul tunes.

Opening for Blues Traveler and Gin Blossoms is another band with a few early 90s hits, Spin Doctors. Their album "Pocket Full of Kryptonite" yielded a song still heard on many radio stations today, "Two Princes," and what I'd call their angry breakup tune, "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong."

Tickets for this show will range between $55-70 dollars per ticket. Grandstand tickets do not include Missouri State Fair Gate Admission. They will be available through Etix and later in the summer at the Missouri State Fair Box Office. The Missouri State Fair has not yet announced an on-sale date for concert tickets. Tickets for all announced shows usually go on sale on the same date, and we'll have a presale code that will allow you access to purchase tickets a day or two earlier than the general on-sale date.

Seven Things Missourians Should Never Ever Keep In The Garage

You might think the garage is an excellent place to store things you don't want to keep in the house. Some things might be OK for the garage, but some items won't keep in the garage, and others could cause you a headache down the road or worse.
