Case Breaker Group Claims to Have Solved Infamous Zodiac Killer Case
There are few serial killer cases that ignite the imagination more than the Zodiac killing spree from Southern California in the late1960s. The case grew in notoriety based on the taunting letters and ciphers the killer sent to police and news media.
A group that says they've cracked this nut is the Case Breakers made up of former law enforcement and intelligence officers.
The Case Breakers is now saying it has identified the Zodiac Killer as Gary Francis Poste, who passed away in 2018. The team's years of digging uncovered new forensic evidence and photos from Poste's darkroom. One image features scars on the forehead of Poste that match scars on a sketch of the Zodiac, the team said.
Poste's name was not necessarily one of the key suspects over the years, but has been mentioned on message boards.
Social media lit up responding to the theory, as well as the inevitable Ted Cruz jokes.

About the Zodiac case, the Code Breakers revealed this in a media release
The Case Breakers’ renowned forensic team has been given a remote location to dig up the guns and learn the identity of the Zodiac Killer a California psychopath who shot, stabbed or choked to death possibly as many as 10 victims between 1962 and 1970.
