Construction Crews To Widen Camden County Rt. D Through Ha Ha Tonka State Park
Visitors traveling to Ha Ha Tonka State Park need to be aware a large highway project is starting Monday, March 3.
In Camden County, Route D through Ha Ha Tonka State Park will undergo various phases of construction continuing through June. Construction will close one lane of Route D between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Crews will construct shoulders on the first 4.75 miles south of U.S. Route 54 and shift the road away from the historic post office.
Visitors should expect:
- Heavy traffic delays. Plan for extra travel time.
- Temporary closures of park trails and trailheads near construction zones.
- Possible lane restrictions at times.
The Division of State Parks appreciates drivers’ patience as the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) completes these essential improvements. Visitors are urged to drive carefully, follow posted signage and check for updates online at the state Park and Site Status Map before visiting the park.
