Doll Collectors Have Many Attractions to See in Missouri
These days most everyone collects something. Bread boxes, Santa Clauses, comic books, Hot Wheels, baseball cards, vinyl albums or even dolls. Sometimes a therapeutic thing to do is to go see what others have collected, if just to let you know that someone else was way more committed to their collection than you.
There are several doll collection/museums across Missouri to seek out if you are an enthusiast.
The United Federation of Doll Clubs Museum – Kansas City, Mo. Filled with special exhibits, a permanent collection with seminars and workshops too.
St. Joseph’s Doll Museum – St. Joseph, Mo. Plump with hundreds and hundreds of dolls and dollhouses from familiar brands to unique dolls from around the world.
The World’s Largest Toy Museum Complex – Branson, Mo. – Not just dolls, but Barbie has a prominent spot amongst all the toys on display at this giant toy box in the Ozarks.
There are also museums of miniatures on both sides of the Show-me state. In Kansas City there is the National Museum of Toys and Miniatures, and the Miniature Museum of Greater St. Louis. Each with many elaborate doll house and vignette displays.
