Many sports figures have opened up restaurants in the cities they plied their trade in. Michael Jordan has a steakhouse in Chicago. Brett Hull’s Junction House is in Wentzville, Mo. The last Mike Shannon’s is at Lambert International Airport, and now Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are ready to open 1587 Prime in Kansas City.

1587 Prime is a modern American steakhouse. It has two floors of eating, and amongst the stylish décor is a full on meat display, so that you can see cuts before they end up on your plate at your table.

Located at the Loews Kansas City, 1587 Prime is named after the two players jersey numbers. 15 = Mahomes and 87 = Kelce. Super Bowl memorabilia will be on display as there is plenty from this duo who have appeared in 5 of the last 6 Super Bowls.

The two shared some menu highlights on social media over the weekend. On brand in Kansas City there will be meat aplenty. 1587 Prime will have “steak flights” including Black Angus Ribeye, Wagyu filet, and a Japanese New York strip….(???). They also have Wagyu smash burgers..(!!!) They will also offer butter flights. Because maybe you want to sample different types of butter for your cut of meat.
