With a new year ready to begin it’s always a fun time to peer into the crystal ball of Nashville and see which artists might have a breakout year. For our purposes, we’ll focus on a few country artists from the Show-Me State who you may be familiar with, maybe you’ve seen perform, or even bought some of their music. Keep an eye out for these Missouri artists ready for the country spotlight in 2026.

Tyler Nance – Lamar, MO.

The 21 year old Nance grew up in a farming family in Southwest Missouri, and has grabbed some industry attention with his first two E.P.’s. This year, Nance’s track “Keeps Me Sane” achieved streaming attention and some airplay too in the U.S. and Canada.  Tyler is putting together his full-length debut. Will 2026 be the year he becomes a Nashville name?

Noah Mesey – Bonne Terre, MO.

The driven, southeast Missouri artist is on the grind. He is currently performing at his own shows, opening for other artists, and hustling to build a name and reputation. He has popped on the radar of some music industry lists for 2026. “Mama’s Song” is a fan favorite.

Sam Barber – Frohna, MO.

Just 22 years old, the Perry County, Missouri singer-songwriter already has released an album, three E.P.’s and a few singles too. He’s already nabbed a golden ticket on “American Idol” – even though his audition and Hollywood Week performances were edited out before viewers could see them. He’s already played the Grand Ole Opry, and had a song appear on the “Twisters” soundtrack. His 2025 release “Man of the Year” is another example of his potential in the country music industry.
