Yelp Says 3 of America’s Best BBQ Joints are in Missouri

I think science has proven that there is no such thing as a bad BBQ. However, some are better than others. According to the expert reviewers on Yelp, 3 of America's best barbeque joints are all within the confines of Missouri and another is really close, too.

This is a new ranking just shared by Yelp revealing what they believe are the top 100 barbeque spots in America for 2024. I expected this type of list would be dominated by Kansas City and the city does have an entry or two, but the others are in opposite sides of the state.

12. City Butcher and Barbecue, Springfield, Missouri

13. Bogart’s Smokehouse, Saint Louis, Missouri

15. Q39 Midtown, Kansas City, Missouri

An honorable mention goes to Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que in Kansas City, Kansas that came in at #6. While I'm hopeful that Missouri will someday invade Kansas and return the rest of Kansas City to its rightful owner, that hasn't happened yet so I'll begrudgingly acknowledge there is actually something good in Kansas after all (just don't make me drive across it ever again).
