Missouri Shoppers: Buy These 7 Things Before August 1 or Else
It appears that changes will happen starting August 1 which makes it vital to stock up if possible on a number of items in Missouri that could see prices skyrocket in just a matter of days.
I was unaware of these incoming changes on a number of products in Missouri that very well could see big price hikes as of August 1 until I came across this brand new video from City Prepping on YouTube that has more than 1.2 million subscribers. This new alert from them says that 7 items specifically are expected to see higher prices and/or possible shortages.
Why are these products expected to see higher prices?
There are new tariffs that are set to go into effect on August 1, 2025. That's the date when the following 7 items are expected to see big price jumps.
An expected 50% tariff on imports from Brazil will almost certainly mean coffee will be much more expensive.
I was under the impression that most orange juice came from Florida. Wrong. This is another Brazilian import that will be hit by the 50% tariff starting on August 1.
Mexico is the source of many fruits and vegetables consumed in the United States. As of August 1, these will be impacted by a 30% tariff so stock up if you can.
The 30% tariff being imposed on the European Union will affect the price of some over the counter pharmaceuticals.
It's surprising how many auto parts and vehicles come from the European Union. Expect at least a 30% jump on any parts or cars that come from overseas.
This might be the most far-reaching price jump category as of August 1. Computer chips which are a key component of phones, computers and just about every modern electronic device could see a 25% to 36% jump in prices since they are sourced from Taiwan and Singapore. If you're needing a new phone or laptop, might want to look for a good sale while you can.
The United States gets a surprising amount of lumber from Canada which could result in a 35% jump in prices due to tariffs on August 1.
