If you're a fan of Target and live in Missouri, good news for you. The company has announced that there will be two new locations opening very soon.

This word of Target expansion comes directly from the horse's mouth - Target's corporate site. In their "Location, Location, Location" press release, they announced a slew of new stores across America that will be having grand openings soon. Two of these new stores will be in Missouri.

When will these Missouri Target locations open?

There's no exact date given my Target's corporate site as of this writing only that these future stores will open...soon.

How does Target decide what cities get new stores?

The company says they factor in "how we can best meet a community’s needs, site constraints, other area Target stores and more". The availability of land and buildings also comes into play. The behind-the-scenes work that has to be done by Target and local zoning commissions is definitely above my pay grade and abilities to understand. All I know is that more shopping options for families in Missouri is a good thing.
