A major St. Louis, Missouri grocery chain has just announced they will be closing a warehouse which will unfortunately mean 64 workers will be losing their jobs once the closure is complete.

I was just notified by the state of Missouri that a WARN notice had been received from Schnucks. Here are their exact words that were submitted to Missouri regulators:

"On July 17, 2026 Schnuck Markets, Inc. (“Schnucks”) announced its decision to close its warehouse facility located at 12921 Enterprise Way, Bridgeton MO 63044.
This closure and the resulting layoffs will be permanent, and will occur on March 28,
2027. Based on current staffing, 64 (sixty-four) employees will be affected by this warehouse closure. All employees will be offered severance as part of Schnucks’ transition plan."

Here are the jobs that will be terminated according to the WARN notice:

● Warehouse Manager - 1 employees
● Warehouse Person - 57 employees
● General Service Engineer - 2 employees
● Sr. Receiving Clerk - 1 employees
● Inventory Control Clerk - 2 employees
● Warehouse Supervisor - 1 employees

If there's any good news that's a part of this announcement, it's the fact that this closure won't take place until March 28, 2027.

As this is a developing story, it will be updated if Schnucks or the state of Missouri provides more information.
