Illinois is Home to one of the Top 8 Most Beautiful Streets

Experts have ranked the most beautiful streets in the world and of course, the list includes a legendary street here in the Land of Lincoln! What makes it so special? Here is what the experts had to say...

The experts at architecturaldigest.com put together a list called The 71 Most Beautiful Streets in the World, and Chicago, Illinois' legendary Lake Shore Drive lands at number 40 on the list, and is the 7th highest ranking street from the USA on the list. The cities that have more beautiful streets in the US according to the list are Brooklyn (NYC), 2 different streets in San Francisco (the Full House Street and the winding road), Boston, Telluride (Colorado, beautiful little main street with Mountains in the background), and Miami.

What does the Architectural Digest have to say about Chicago's Lake Shore Drive? On the site, they say "With the towering skyline on one side and the shore of Lake Michigan on the other, DuSable Lake Shore Drive is the perfect way to take in the Windy City. Did they get it right?

It would have been a disaster if the list didn't include Windy City. Personally, we know I am biased, but I would rank Lake Shore Drive above ANY street in the USA as far as beauty goes. I do like that they included Telluride, Colorado, if you haven't seen how beautiful that town is look it up and you'll want to plan a trip there ASAP!
