Two Jeff City Men Injured in Boat Explosion at LOTO

Two Jeff City men were injured when their boat exploded during refueling at Backwater Jack's Bar & Grill in Osage Beach Sunday afternoon.

According to the MSHP, a 1987 Cobalt caught fire after it was refueled at Backwater Jack's Cove at the 18-mile marker on the Lake of the Ozarks in Camden County just before 12:30 p.m.

A 25-year-old man and a 50-year-old man, both from Jefferson City, suffered minor injuries and were transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach by private vehicle for treatment.

The boat was totaled.
