The Venue, LLC, Under New Ownership
The Venue, one of Sedalia’s premier event and wedding venues, is excited to announce new ownership under local couple and entrepreneurs Hannah Yonce and Donavan Brickey.
Yonce and Brickey will begin transitioning into their new roles now, with the change in ownership becoming official in January 2027.
The transition marks a new chapter for The Venue while preserving the atmosphere, service, and experience couples and the community have come to know and love. Yonce and Brickey look forward to building on that foundation, expanding offerings, and continuing to make The Venue a special place for weddings, celebrations, and community events.
“We’re honored to continue the legacy that’s been built here,” said Donavan Brickey, co-owner of The Venue. “Our goal is to create unforgettable celebrations while expanding our offerings and continuing to make The Venue a premier destination for weddings and special events in central Missouri.”
Over the years, The Venue has become a familiar setting for weddings, receptions, corporate events, celebrations, and community gatherings. Under the new ownership, guests can expect the same personalized service and welcoming experience The Venue is known for, along with additional options designed to help couples and clients make each event their own.

We want to create lasting memories,” said Hannah Yonce, co-owner. “As someone who has called Sedalia home my entire life, it means a lot to me to be part of a business that brings people together and celebrates so many important moments in our community.”
The Venue will continue accepting bookings for weddings, private events, corporate gatherings, and celebrations of all kinds.
To celebrate the transition, The Venue plans to host community open houses, venue tours, and special events in the coming months, giving couples and local residents an opportunity to experience The Venue and learn more about what’s ahead.
