
Cleanup Under Way at Site of Union Pacific Train Derailment
A train derailment that affected 25 cars thankfully resulted in no injuries early Thursday morning just after 4 a.m.
The Union Pacific freight train derailment occurred near Devasher Road and the NE 501 Road crossing, according to the JoCo EMA.
25 cars left the tracks in a field between Highway 13 and NE 501 Road, north of the UCM Trapshooting Range.
No hazardous materials were released, official said, and an investigation is under way.
