A Lincoln couple were injured in a two-car collision that occurred Saturday morning in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 2015 GMC Duramax, driven by 23-year-old Alexander A. Timoshchuk of Ioinia, was at US 65 and Whiteman Road around 10 a.m., when he entered the intersection and failed to yield to a southbound 2024 Chevy Equinox, driven by 63-year-old Pamela J. Swearngin of Lincoln. The Equinox struck the Duramax on the right side of the Chevy. Both vehicles came to rest on the west side of 65.

Pamela Swearngen and her passenger, 80-year-old Richard Swearngin, also of Lincoln, suffered moderate injuries. Pamela was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Warsaw EMS, while Richard was transported Bothwell by Cole Camp EMS.

The GMC had moderate damage, while the Chevy was totaled and towed by InMotion.
