Missouri has a rich history of wine making and the states vintners fly under the radar when it comes to national awareness. This presents a terrific opportunity to introduce or remind those in your life of the delicious uniqueness of the Missouri grape.
There are many Missouri wines to choose from, originating from several Missouri vineyards. The best part is you can find many of these on the shelves of local stores in the Show-Me state and neighboring states.
Stone Hill Winery - The vineyard that produced this year’s Governor’s Cup winner for best Missouri wine in the “2022 Cross J Norton” and four other Missouri Wine Competition winners for 2024 is based in Hermann, MO.
Adam Puchta Winery - Won best sweet red wine for their “Riefenstahler”, and also the best semi-dry white wine this year at the Missouri Wine Competition for their “2023 Dry Vignoles”. The Adam Puchta Winery is also in Hermann, Mo.
Montelle Winery - Was awarded best semi dry rose’ for their “2022 LaRose’e” and best late harvest/ice wine with their 2022 Vidal Blanc Icewine. Montelle Winery is located down river from Washington, Mo in Augusta.
