Missouri has a rich history of wine making and the states vintners fly under the radar when it comes to national awareness. This presents a terrific opportunity to introduce or remind those in your life of the delicious uniqueness of the Missouri grape.

There are many Missouri wines to choose from, originating from several Missouri vineyards. The best part is you can find many of these on the shelves of local stores in the Show-Me state and neighboring states.

Stone Hill Winery  - The vineyard that produced this year’s Governor’s Cup winner for best Missouri wine in the “2022 Cross J Norton” and four other Missouri Wine Competition winners for 2024 is based in Hermann, MO.

There are so many flavors of Missouri to try and gift to others for the holidays (or anytime). Look for solid offerings from Le Bourgeois Vineyards, Noboleis Vineyards, Robller Vineyard, Eagles Landing, Defiance Ridge and others.

When you travel this holiday season make sure you take the gift of Missouri wines so that those you are gifting to can get in on the marvelous American low key wine country.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
