The Most Desired Video Game In Missouri For Christmas Is…
I'm not a video game guy by any stretch of the imagination. I was lucky to get 7,000 points playing Ms. Pacman at the arcade for our Christmas party last week. I'm an outlier; many folks love video games, and I'm sure there's a game on many people's Christmas lists if not more than one. So, what's the most desired video game in Missouri for Christmas 2024?
One of those online betting websites researched the most popular video games in each state. They examined Amazon's "most wished lists" for Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox games and then examined the titles in Google Trends.
"Marvel's Spider-Man 2," known for its intense action and engaging storyline, was the top game in seven states: Arizona, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, Texas, and New York.
Sports games, the ads I often see while watching baseball or football on television, were popular in seven states. "EA Sports FC 25", a soccer game, came in first in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Washington, D.C. "Madden NFL 25" was popular in Wisconsin and Delaware, while "MLB The Show 24" was at the top in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Missouri's top-wanted video game is "Sonic Superstars."
According to the game's website, "Adventure through the mystical Northstar Islands in this all-new take on classic 2D Sonic high-speed action platforming. Play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy Rose and harness all-new Emerald powers to move and attack in dynamic new ways. Navigate gorgeous, never-before-seen environments solo or with up to 3 other players and stop Dr. Eggman, Fang, and a mysterious new adversary from converting the islands' giant animals into Badniks before it's too late!"
Additionally, for the first time in a Sonic game, you can play through the entire campaign with up to three other players with drop-in and drop-out 4-player local co-op. As I'm not a gamer, I'm not sure what that means, but it sounds fun. The video below makes the game look fun, too,
If only I had the patience to learn how the controllers work, it might also be on the top of my wish list.
