National Punch Day? Really?

Yep, it's a thing.  National Punch Day is  every year on September 20. And hey, since it still feels like summer this week... why not? While there are a few ways this day could go..... For example, respecting devices used to make openings (a fancy way to say punch a hole) or a day made to toss a couple punches at a punching.... thing (sack? bag?  Neither one sounds right for some reason) - it's neither of those.  I'll guide you toward the revitalizing rendition of the tasty, refreshing beverage. 

National Punch Day is recorded as one numerous American Food Holidays.  A wide collection of beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, fall into the class of punch. Regularly made with a mix of organic product juice and a carbonated refreshment, a punch is served at gatherings weddings and different festivals in huge, wide bowls known as punch dishes.  No gathering is perfect without a punch dish overflowing with something fruity and tasty. When you're making enough punch for twelve or more individuals, consolidate the fixings around a half-hour before serving so that the ice can chill off the punch - and  the soda doesn't lose its trademark bubble.

Things You'll Need :

1 quart of cherry or strawberry juice (I prefer strawberry but cherry might be easier to find)

1 liter of ginger ale

2 medium cans of pineapple juice

2 cups of fresh strawberries or cherries, to match the punch flavor

Large punch or serving bowl

1 punch or serving ladle

1 large mixing spoon

Ice

So here's what you do: Mix the cherry or strawberry juice and pineapple juice in the punchbowl. Slice up your cherries or strawberries and add them to the mixture. You want small enough pieces that you’ll get several in every scoop, but not so small that they aren’t good for chewing. Add the ginger ale and ice, and stir.
