Cookie Cravings May Not Be A Problem In The ‘Burg For Much Longer!
If you've ever been knocking around the house after dinner and started craving something sweet, but you didn't have anything sweet in the cupboard, and you didn't want to get all busy whipping up a batch of cookies or baking some brownies. You were out of luck unless you hopped in the car and headed to the store. In Warrensburg, all that's about to change.
Signs have gone up in the windows of the old Family Video in Warrensburg advertising Insomnia Cookies.
What's Insomnia Cookies you may ask?
It's a cookie store and more. You see you don't need to go there to get your cookies. They'll deliver the cookies right to you, hopefully freshly baked and still a little bit warm so the chocolate chips melt in your mouth and are a little bit messy if you break the cookie in half to share. They'll also deliver cookies late at night.
Looking at the Insomnia Cookies website, the store started when its founder Seth Berkowitz, and his friends were up late in a dorm and Seth wanted something sweet, warm, and delivered. That led to Seth imagining a business that catered to people like him: Insomniacs. So Insomnia Cookies was born in Seth's dorm room, followed by him opening his first brick-and-mortar store in Syracuse, New York.
Insomnia Cookies offers a variety of cookies, brownies, mini cookies, ice cream, and cookie cakes. They also offer a variety of bundles, some all cookies, some cookies with a brownie, or other items that are mix and match.
Nothing is posted yet on the Insomnia Cookies website about them opening a store in Warrensburg, or hiring for a store in Warrensburg, yet one of the signs in the windows of the old Family Video talks about hiring, so I'll stop by on the way home tonight and see where that QR code goes. I also reached out to Insomnia Cookies to confirm that they're coming to Warrensburg and asked for some details on their opening day.
I'll update this post if and when I hear from Insomnia Cookies.
