Bryant added that fitting the costume a certain way to Skarsgard was essential to give the evil clown a youthful quality and emphasize Skarsgard’s age. The actor, 25, is much younger than Tim Curry was when he played Pennywise in his mid-40s in the 1990 miniseries. The younger casting choice is something Skarsgard previously likened to the clown’s connection to kids. “The clown is the manifestation of children’s imaginations, so there’s something child-like about that,” Skarsgard told EW.

It will be directed by Andy Muschietti (Mama) and set in a present day era and the late 1980s and will be released in two parts. The first will follow the group of kids who form the Losers’ Club, and the second following them as adults. It also stars Jaeden Lieberher (Midnight Special), Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things), Jack Dylan Grazer, Sophia Lillis, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs and Jeremy Ray Taylor. It is set to hit theaters on September 8, 2017. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60-fzIcuOA8
