The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners opened the second semester with a 69-50 victory over Kennedy-King College inside the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center in Sedalia on Saturday, Jan. 4. The game featured six lead changes and two ties.

SFCC (13-3) led 9-5 with 16 minutes and 40 seconds remaining in the opening half and extended the lead to 35-28 at halftime. SFCC turned up their defensive intensity in the second half and held Kennedy-King to 22 points to secure the victory.

Freshman forward Daniel Garza led a balanced scoring attack for SFCC with 17 points. Freshman guard Tyson Mobley scored 16 points. Sophomore forward Chin Hanson added 13 points. Sophomore forward Sam Bradford just missed a double-double with 11 points and a team-high nine rebounds.

Sophomore guard Alex Gunnels recorded a team-high five assists. Sophomore guard Mosa Osagie led the team with three steals. Bradford and Osagie tied for the team lead with two blocked shots.
