SFCC Student-athletes Earn All-Region Honors In Softball
State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners freshman outfielder Rylee Hagens of Fulton and freshman pitcher Kennidi Harris of Hume have earned Second-Team All-Region 16 honors as voted on by the coaches in the Region.
Hagens played in 41 games and led the team with 36 runs scored, 12 doubles, 10 home runs, 24 extra-base hits and 29 runs batted in. Hagens also led the team in total bases with 83 and tied for the team lead in triples with two. Hagens recorded 37 hits with a .296 batting average, a .380 on-base percentage, and a .664 slugging percentage.
Harris led the pitching staff with 12 complete games (in 20 appearances), a 3.85 ERA, five wins, 105 1/3 innings pitched and 77 strikeouts (5.12 batters per seven innings).
“I was proud of both ladies,” said Lady Roadrunners Softball Head Coach Lyndsey Talbot.
“The whole season was kind of up and down. I thought as freshmen they did a great job of staying positive and making adjustments as the season went on. Kennidi and Rylee are both super competitive. I believe they will take the way the season ended and roll that into their sophomore seasons.”
