The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri is a regional disaster and hunger relief network that acquires and distributes millions of pounds of food annually to partner agencies across a 32-county area.

A member of Feeding America, The Food Bank is able to work with manufacturers, wholesalers, processors, growers, retailers and restaurants to secure donations and food at reduced costs. Because of these partnerships, they are able to turn every dollar into $21 worth of groceries.

The Food Bank works with 140 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and other agencies to ensure food gets into the hands of those who need it most. They are the only food bank in the state to provide that food at no charge to other organizations.  They work directly with people in need here in Sedalia and in Pettis County. So you might be thinking that the problem of food insecurity is too big for you to be able to help. That's where you're wrong, jackson!

The Food Bank has an innovative new event that allows attendees to dine, drink and celebrate all things Mizzou football!  You can sample bite-sized, tailgate themed creations from Columbia's finest restaurants including: bleu Events, D. Rowe's, Hoss's Market, Manzo Pizza, Room 38, Sara Fougere Catering, Smokin Chicks BBQ, Stadium Grill,  and The Heidelburg.  They'll also have drinks from different vendors including: DogMaster Distillery, Kona Ice, Logboat Brewing Co., N.H. Scheppers, Smoothie King, and Southern Glazer's.

There will also be on-field activities and games, and an auction. Auction items include unique Mizzou Athletic experiences and other packages, including Beach Boys Tickets, Dining Packages, Cardinals Tickets, Thomas Rhett Tickets and more. Plus, you can meet  the MU cheerleaders and Truman the Tiger!

Taste of the Tigers tickets are all inclusive and must be presented at the door. It'll be held on October 5 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Stadium, on the North Concourse. You can find out more about The Food Bank and get your tickets to the event at their website. So make sure to get your ticket and know you're helping local people and kids with the problem of hunger.

Tastily yours,
