This Missouri Playground was Just Voted Among the Best in America

As a kid who grew up in Missouri, I loved playgrounds. Now, as a parent, I appreciate them even more. That's why I was thrilled to learn that one Missouri playground was just voted among the best in the entire country.

I think if you asked most people, they'd say the best playgrounds are the ones that include a lot of variety. I think that's one of the reasons when USA Today asked their readers to name and vote for the best public playgrounds in America that one in the St. Louis, Missouri area came up often.

What Missouri playground was just named among the 10 best in America by USA Today?

Answer - It's the Variety Wonderland Playground in Forest Park in St. Louis which received the 4th most votes in the country.  This playground was designed to be a place where any kid could play no matter what their abilities.

The official Variety Wonderland Playground website from Forest Park says this place was built way back in 2005 and just received major improvements as recently as 2021. It's located just to the southeast of the Missouri History Museum in Forest Park.

St. Louis gets a bad rap because of certain pockets of crime in the city, but this playground proves the point again that it really is a great place for families, in spite of the reputation of the metro.
