Hidden Walmart ‘Dark Stores’ Coming to Missouri?
This sounds like something directly out of a sinister conspiracy theory, but it's a real thing that is coming to Missouri sooner rather than later. Walmart is quietly opening what they refer to as "dark stores" that you're not supposed to know about, but it's not as sinister as it sounds.
I can't wait to see the theories about how the Illuminati is somehow involved in this. 24/7 Wall St has confirmation directly from Walmart that they are about to open many "dark stores" across America and their current direction shows Missouri might very well be next.
What is a Walmart "dark store"?
Supply Chain Dive says that these "dark stores" are buildings that are not open to the public to shop in, but they contain the most popular items that are ordered. The hope is that this will greatly expedite orders since these "dark stores" will be located across different regions. The first Walmart dark store was tested in the Dallas area and now there's one reportedly coming to Bentonville, Arkansas. Draw a line from Dallas to Bentonville and further north and you can see that Missouri is the next logical location for a dark store to make deliveries in the Midwest quicker to fulfill. There is no confirmation that a Missouri dark store is imminent, but you can count on the fact that the Show Me State will be a major hub for Walmart deliveries. I predict somewhere in the Kansas City area. We'll see if/when that comes true soon.
