
Warsaw Man Injured When Ford Focus Hits Tree
A Warsaw man was injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday night in Benton County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound 2007 Ford Focus, driven by 37-year-old Gary M. Shafton of Warsaw, was on Lost Valley Road, east of Lakeview Avenue just before 9 p.m., when the vehicle crossed the center of the road while the driver was navigating a right-hand curve, and the Ford ran off the left side of the roadway and collided with a tree.

Shafton suffered serious injuries and was flown to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia by Eagle 5. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.
