A Warsaw man was killed in a two-vehicle crash that occurred Friday afternoon in Benton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 2017 Ford Fusion, driven by 90-year-old Homer D. May of Warsaw, was at US 65 and Route BB around 4:20 p.m., when the Ford pulled into the path of a northbound 2006 Pontiac G6, driven by 18-year-old Sarah J. Gilbert of Warsaw.

May was flown to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Lifeflight and later pronounced dead at 6:36 p.m., by Dr. Trevor Beckham.

This was Troop A's 35th fatal crash for 2024, and the 38th fatality for the year.
