Late Sunday night, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle because it did not have a front license plate. The vehicle was stopped in the area of South Moniteau Avenue and West 11th Street. At the outcome of the stop, the license plate was seized off the vehicle and returned to the Department of Revenue.


 

Officers stopped a car for an equipment violation in the 100 block of East Boonville Street Sunday evening. The driver was found to not have a valid driver’s license. Maria Nandho Salvador, 43, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Operator’s License Required. Salvador was transported to the Sedalia Police Department to be fingerprinted, issued a summons, and then released.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 300 block of West 7th Street Sunday afternoon for a domestic disturbance. A husband and wife had a physical altercation after an argument about laundry. After an investigation, a primary physical aggressor could not be determined. Both parties were separated, and a 12-hour log was completed.


 

Friday night, Officers responded to the 200 block of West Saline Street in reference to a burglary. At the time, the homeowner, Karen S. Zullig, was not there. A subject had forcibly entered the residence, causing some damage and stealing some property. The suspect has not been identified at this time.


 

Sunday morning, Officers stopped a vehicle in the area of South New York Avenue and East Broadway Boulevard. During the course of the stop, it was discovered an occupant of the vehicle had four warrants for his arrest out of Probation and Parole, Morgan County and Henry County. Two of the warrants were no bond, and two of them totaled $10,000 cash only. The warrants were on multiple counts of felony Driving While Revoked and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibly, and felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. Jason A. Vanblaricon, 47, of Leeton, was arrested on his warrants and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked.

Saturday evening, Officers made contact with a subject walking in the area of East 3rd Street and South Thompson Avenue. The subject was found to be in possession of substances that were illegal for him to possess. He was identified (but not named in the report), the substances were confiscated, and he was released with no charges.


 

On the afternoon of March 4th, Dakota Criner came to the lobby of the Police Department to report an assault. Criner stated the assault occurred the night before in the 1400 block of West Main Street. A report was completed, and charges are being filed.


 

Friday morning, Officers were dispatched to the Motel 6, 3402 West Broadway Boulevard, to investigate a report of theft. Officers made contact with Michael Tooley, who stated that sometime in the overnight, someone entered his room and stole medication out of his pocket.
