I have had this song stuck in my head for awhile today and it's M.C. Hammer's 'Pray' song that was recorded in 1989, but didn't get officially released until 1990.  Pray may not have had the most variety of words, but it brought home a message of hope and well prayer.

I recognize the song did not have a huge variety of verbage, but someone decided it was a good idea to count the word 'pray' and documented that it was said 147 times through the song. Maybe that's why it was so catchy.

I guess it was no surprise when a few years after this song, M.C. Hammer became a preacher.  M.C. Hammer may not have had a huge hit in recent history, but there is no doubt he made a huge impact with the old parachute pants and dance style. On another note, I forgot he had a role in Last Action Hero, which was the subject of movies revisited recently. Somehow this had to tie altogether.
