A fire at Central Missouri Landfill sent thick, black smoke into the air Monday afternoon as the Pettis County Fire Protection District responded to the scene on Oak Grove Lane.

Melody Sloma, 56, of the address, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail where she is being held on a 24-hour hold.

On Monday around 7:21 a.m., the Pettis County Sheriff's Office and the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 19532 Maltsbarger Road.
