Benton County Woman Arrested After Shooting Her Husband
On Thursday, Nov. 21 at approximately 9:23 p.m., Benton County Deputies responded to an address on Oak Ridge Avenue, a rural Warsaw location, for a possible shooting.
A female, Lori Nicolaisen, 49, of the residence, called Benton County Central Dispatch and stated she had shot her husband and would be waiting for deputies to arrive.
Upon arrival, deputies contacted Lori outside the residence and placed her into custody.
Entering the residence, deputies discovered Michael K. Nicolaisen, 64, on the floor of the residence with an apparent gun shot wound to the upper torso of his body. Michael was able to give law enforcement a statement before he was flown to a trauma center.
Lori was transported to the Benton County Jail and charged with 2nd Degree Domestic Assault and Armed Criminal Action. She received a surety bond of $250,000.
