Bite Me: These Cookies Came to Win
Gentle Reader, there are some things that I have a mental association with...but that association is inexplicable. Like, for some reason, I associate Pepperidge Farm Cookies with fanciness. I always thought of them as precious and expensive.
Or... maybe that's just what my parents wanted me to think. Maybe they just wanted to keep our grubby hands off the cookies, so they TOLD us they were fancy. Well, I also blame the ads a little.
So all of this to say, I have not been a Pepperidge Farm cookie person in my adulthood. I still, in my brain, associated them with being too fancy for the likes of me.
That ends today.
There are two new flavors of Milano style cookies. Let's try them - for science.
If you like a Milano, they're nothing unexpected. They're lightly crispy, sweet-but-not-too-sweet, and that toasted coconut flavor? It sneaks up on you in the best way, like a little edible vacation. They taste like someone tried to bake a sunset and accidentally nailed it.
The cookies don't look any different than the normal ones, though. And there's a slight coconut smell, but it's definitely not strong. Doesn't need to be, I guess.
Meanwhile, there's another flavor, white chocolate strawberry.

The Pepperidge Farm White Chocolate Strawberry Cookies.
Basically: If you're not into strawberry.... they might not be your jam. Sorry. Bad joke. But if you are, they're dangerously snackable—like “oops, I ate half the bag while deciding which show to watch” levels of good.
Honestly, the flavor reminded me of Japanese Kit Kats. They have all sorts of different flavors, and they put the part that changes into the chocolate. So you're tasting strawberry white chocolate. And these cookies are the cookie equivalent of that. IYKYK.
Overall, I think they're pretty good. Maybe not an every week purchase, but for a special occasion or an unusual treat, they're perfect.
What do you think? Will you try one of the new cookie flavors? Or are they just something you'll pass by on the shelf?
Farmingly yours,
Behka
