- "They also cannot operate above idle speed within 50 feet of another vessel or person in the water."
- "Jumping the wake of a vessel when visibility is obstructed. Becoming airborne while crossing the wake of another motorboat within 100 feet of that motorboat."
What are the consequences for violating these Missouri boating laws?
Missouri boating laws can result in fines for as little as $23 for failure to register a trailer to $1,000 for boating while intoxicated. Boat Smart Exam says the 50 and 100 foot rules are a class B misdemeanor for first offense, a class A misdemeanor for second offense while a third offense can result in a class D felony.
