Crest Ridge Project Graduation Presents the Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament [INTERVIEW]
A while back I told you about some fundraisers going down for the various Project Graduations in our area. Well, now I'm telling you about one of those up close and personal, and that's Crest Ridge's huge tournament.
If you didn't know, Crest Ridge is in Centerview. The Cougars are working hard to have another outstanding year of graduates. The parents of those kids are also working to ensure that this graduation is just one accomplishment of many in a long, fruitful life. So they're hosting their own Project Graduation as a way to keep the kids safe in a drug-free, alcohol-free environment. This way they can celebrate and keep celebrating more achievements in years to come.
Avoiding underage drinking and drugs is the main goal of Project Graduation, and this year's event is backed by fundraising events. Crest Ridge's parents are doing something pretty fun at the Johnson County Fairgrounds on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Here's Stephanie Matthews to talk about some of the details.
Don't miss out on this one, folks. The Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament starts at 6:00 p.m. on Oct. 19. A pizza buffet will be included in the ticket price. Tickets are $35 prior to the day of the event and $40 at the door. The first place cash prize is $500 (with minimum 75 players). They'll pay out the top three places. There will be a Chip Raffle, Add Ons and Rebuys and a Final Seat Auction. All proceeds benefit the Crest Ridge Class of 2014 Project Graduation.
