Guys, this might be a bit of a rant time about what I've seen in our driving habits.

Now let me start off by saying, I know I'm not perfect. I'm not saying I am. I'm not trying to put anybody down. But dang, guys, we have just got to get our sherty nonsense together about this, you know?  We know better than this.  We just do.

I was headed from the radio station, going downtown to do some work. And it just seemed like no matter where I was going, I was practically having to drive either in the turn lane or almost over to the shoulder, because people keep driving over the center line.

I mean, nothing happened.  But they were just super close, and they didn't need to be, you know? This infuriates me, so I decided to go and do some research. To try to understand where they're coming from.

The only thing I saw was something I already knew - that some people drive in the middle of the lane because they're used to rural roads, where the sides of the road might be more treacherous than the middle. I mean, I get that if you're out in the county. If you're out on a road and only the middle is oiled and the sides are ditches or badly maintained gravel, I would get driving in the center.

But this was on West Broadway. South Limit Avenue. This is in town, you guys. You have to drive differently in town then you do on rural roads. I know you know that.  You know you know that.

So what are we doing?! Why are you driving right on the dang center line, or even OVER IT,  on one of the most popular lanes of travel in town?!  Is  it that you want to get hit?  Do you want to hit me?  Do you just not pay attention?  Do you not care?  Do you not see all the room you have?

You could just scooch over a little and it would make everyone's life a little easier.  Just saying.

Drivingly yours,
Behka
