The Missouri State Fair announced that Drake White will now open for Ian Munsick on Thursday, August 15, after original opener Creed Fisher was involved in a hit-and-run accident.

American Songwriter reports that Fisher was involved in the accident before his scheduled show at Rollie's in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, on Saturday, August 10. Fisher's team posted an update on Monday, saying Fisher's condition was slowly but steadily improving and mentioned that Fisher's family was requesting privacy and appreciated fans' continued thoughts and prayers.

According to American Songwriter Fisher's team noted on Instagram that the outlaw country star is undergoing a series of surgeries to repair the damage done in the hit-and-run.

Fisher did a Facebook Live with friends this morning, discussing his experiences after the wreck. You can find that on his Facebook page here. I want to warn you some of what he experienced in the aftermath of the crash is pretty heavy, life-changing stuff, and some of the language isn't safe for work. So, it may not be a video for everyone.

Stepping in for Fisher at the Missouri State Fair will be Drake White. White grwe up singing in his church choir before becoming one of Country Music's most spirited innovators. He earned four Top 40 his and toured the country on multiple nationwide tours. His 2013 debut single, "Simple Life," introduced his brand of Country soul. He followed up "Simple Life" with his debut album "Spark" in 2016, followed by two EPs, "Pieces" and "Stars."

White is no stranger when it comes to adversity; in August 2019, he collapsed on stage due to a hemorrhagic stroke, and doctors told him he might never perform again.  After a series of surgeries and months of physiotherapy, White proved them wrong, embarking on his Optymystic Tour to spread his incredible positivity to his fans.

White's accolades include being named one of Rolling Stone's 10 Country Artists You Need To Know, The Grammy's Artist of Tomorrow, and winner of the British CMA Awards' International Song of the Year.

White will open for Ian Munsick at the Missouri State Fair on Thursday, August 15, at 7:30. Tickets are $45 for the grandstand and $55 for trackside seats. For those fans who may have been going to see Creed Fisher specifically and would like a refund, The Missouri State Fair has refund information here.
