Missouri’s Hottest Housing Market: Homes Sell in Under 2 Weeks

It's no secret that home sellers have had a tough last few months, but that's not the story for the most competitive housing market in Missouri where a vast majority of homes sell in less than 2 weeks.

According to Redfin Real Estate, this Missouri neighborhood is a part of the hottest housing market in the state

This is Crestwood, Missouri ranked #1 as the most competitive housing market in the state which I also saw confirmed by Slacker. According to the Redfin data, houses in Crestwood have a sold sign in the yard just over 10 days after the initial listing. 56.7% of the homes in Crestwood sell for greater than the asking price and 71.3% are off the market in less than 2 weeks. That's red hot for a population of just over 12,000 according to the latest census data.

I decided to get my real estate education and license more than a decade ago, but never did anything with it. That being said, real estate is still a passion of mine and I find the constant ebb and flow of real estate values to be interesting. I also have a friend who's been a realtor in the St. Louis area for some time now and I can tell from his shares that many suburbs in the St. Louis area are a hot commodity. Don't believe the national narrative about people wanting to leave the St. Louis area. Homes in most of the areas near the big city are great places to live. That's why I was not surprised at all to see Crestwood rank among America's hottest housing markets. The Property Brothers on HGTV would be proud.
