Wisconsin Man Eats 34,128 Big Macs – Besting His Own World Record

I don't think I love anything enough to have more than 34,000 versions of it. One Wisconsin man obviously does love something that much as he's now eaten 34,128 Big Macs to extend his own standing world record.

I would like to introduce you to Donald Gorske. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, he is the world champion Big Mac eater. Donald calls Fond du Lac, Wisconsin home and the McDonalds restaurants there know him by his first name.

Boing Boing shared the news that Donald Gorske has now eaten 34,128 Big Macs. The Guinness Book of World Records site has now updated their page devoted to Donald and his burger habit to reflect the new number. Well done (burger pun intended).

As Donald tells it, he got his first car in May of 1972 and promptly drove to McDonalds for a Big Mac and he...just never stopped eating them. He ate 3 Big Macs that day and swore he's eat them every day of his life pretty much. Donald Gorske is a man of his word as this record proves.

How does Donald Gorske keep track of this ongoing record? Easy. He keeps the boxes and receipts from every single McDonalds visit that results in a Big Mac.

When will Donald Gorske of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin stop eating Big Macs? When they stop selling them or when he stops living which fortunately for Donald doesn't seem like it's going to happen anytime soon.
