National Library Week is April 19 – 25

The Pettis County Commission issued a proclamation on Tuesday afternoon recognizing National Library Week and celebrating the vital role libraries and library staff play in supporting education, access to information, and community connection.

The proclamation highlights the importance of libraries as community resources that provide free and equitable access to knowledge, foster lifelong learning, and support residents of all ages. National Library Week is observed April 19–25, 2026, with the theme “Find Your Joy.

Attending the brief ceremony Tuesday were Linda Allcorn, Jo Boger, Matt Musslin, Shelby Murry, Morgan Hudson, James Bowlin, and Joni Spalding with Boonslick Regional Library, Treasurer Kim Lyne, GIS and Grants Director James Theisen, Assessor Chris Woolery.
