Trains, Music & More: Check Out This Amazing Holiday Celebration In KC

Are you looking for something to do over Thanksgiving weekend? One idea is to head to Kansas City's Union Station for their Premiere Free Outdoor Holiday Pop-Up Celebration this Saturday, November 30, 2024.

The Union Station website promises this event will be "The most festive way to kick off your holiday season." I don't know about that, but it sounds like a fun event.

From 10:00 AM—7:00 PM CST in Union Station's Expansive Haverty Family Yards, you can shop, enjoy live music, food trucks, and holiday adult beverages while welcoming the Canadian Pacific Kansas City Holiday Train or wrapping up your Saturday with a Fireworks Finale celebrating 25 years of Science City!

Twenty of Kansas City's top vendors will be in the Farfalla Merry Market. Live entertainment from the Elders, The Snow Globes, The Bonner Family, and more will happen throughout the day. Plus, after the CPKC's Holiday Train arrives, American Authors and KT Tunstall will perform. Wrapping up the day will be the brilliant fireworks finale.

The Farfalla Merry Market is open from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM CST, and the CPKC Holiday Train is scheduled to arrive between 3:00 and 3:30 PM CST. American Authors and KT Tunstall will perform as part of the Holiday Train's stage concert at 6:00 PM CST, and fireworks will be shot off approximately at 6:45 PM CST.
