Knob Noster Woman Injured in JoCo Crash
A Knob Noster woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday in Johnson County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2013 Mazda CX5 was eastbound on NE 600 Road, while a 2016 Chevy Cruze was westbound on NE 600. The Mazda began turning into a private drive and the Cruze began slowing down to avoid a collision with the Mazda and began skidding as a result. The Cruze ran off the right side of the roadway and struck the Mazda. The Chevy then ran off the left side of the private drive and struck a fence post.
The 62-year-old driver of the Mazda, from Knob Noster, suffered minor injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center.
The 18-year-old driver of the Chevy was reportedly uninjured.
Both vehicles had extensive damage.
