Head To Branson For This Outstanding Burger Named Missouri’s Best

When I saw the article from Love Food naming its top-rated burger joint in every US State, I thought the winner for Missouri sounded familiar. It was because it's not the first time this restaurant has received recognition for its food.

I'm talking about the Pickin Porch Grill in the Branson Craft Mall. I was familiar with it because, back in 2022, it was one of two Branson restaurants that won Trip Advisor's Travelers' Choice Best of the Best Awards. You can read more about what I thought of the restaurant here.

Regarding their latest award, Love Food calls the Pickin Porch Grill a hidden gem in the Branson Craft Mall, which also houses arts and crafts traders, a fruit and nut trader, and a fudge company. They say this about the burgers, "The Bluegrass Burger – doused in BBQ sauce – is a popular choice, but the Chorizo Burger is the one for anyone craving some spice."

According to the Pickin Porch Grill's menu, they offer five burgers. Their Porch Burger is $15.99 and comes with a 1/3-pound charbroiled Angus burger topped with bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheddar cheese, and house burger sauce. The Chorizo Burger comes with a 1/3-pound charbroiled Angus burger, and Chorizo topped with candied Jalapenos, onion strings, Swiss cheese, and their House Chipotle Lime Aicii.

While I enjoy burgers, I'm not a big fan of charbroiling, BBQing, or any method that introduces a smoke or flame-kissed taste to the meat. Many people love that taste, but I'd rather eat cardboard. So I'm not the guy popping into the Pickin Porch Grill for a burger.

I'd probably opt for the Fried Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Tender Plate, or Porch Dip Sandwich instead.

Prices range between $11 and $20 per entree, depending on what you order. The Pickin Porch Grill in the Branson Craft Mall will open for the season Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM CST, starting March 4, 2025.
