A Russellville woman was killed and two others injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred Sunday evening in Boone County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound 2022 Ford Transit, driven by 34-year-old Raechel N. Ford of Russellville, was on Route H at Innovation Boulevard just before 6:30 p.m., when the Ford crossed the center of the roadway and struck the left front of a westbound 2021 Jeep Compass, driven by 62-year-old Debra S. Bates of Russellville.

Bates was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:05 p.m., by Paramedic Jeff Rudloff. The body was taken to Capital Mortuary.

Bates' passenger, 63-year-old Lisa M. Roberts of Lakeside Calif., suffered serious injuries and was transported by Boone County EMS to University Hospital for treatment.

Ford suffered moderate injuries and was transported by University EMS to University Hospital.

Both vehicles were totaled and towed by I-70 Towing.

This was Troop F's first fatality for December, and the 45th for the year.

There were a total of five Troopers on scene.
